Dhaniya panjiri

Recipe to a sweet janmshtami prasad.
Dhaniya panjiri, is a special coriander panjiri made on janamshtami. It can be made for falahari vrat.
Before we begin I wish you HAPPY JANMASHTAMI.

Ingredients

150 grams of coriander powder
100 grams of powered sugar
Approx. 1 cup of ghee/clarified butter
1 cup of phool makhane (puffed lotus seeds)
5-6 almonds
3 tablespoon Chironji
½ cup Grated fresh green coconut

Method

  • Heat a wok/kadai/non-stick pan add 2 tablespoon ghee when heated add phool makhane and roast it for 10 minutes on low flame. When roasted remove it in a bowl and leave it to cool down and crush it with hands.
  • In same pan roast the chopped almonds for 2 minutes on low flame.
  • Now finally add ½ cup of ghee in a kadai/wok/non-stick pan when heated add coriander powder and remember roast it till the colour of coriander powder slightly change and you get a mild aroma from it.
  • Now quickly switch off the flame and remove roasted coriander powder in a big bowl otherwise if you leave it in wok it will burn easily.
  • Now mix strained powdered sugar (if you don't have powder sugar then you can powder the sugar in grinder and the strain it to avoid any lump in panjiri), crushed phool makhane, chopped-roasted nuts, cinnamon powder and grated coconut with roasted coriander powder very well for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Now your dhaniya panjiri is ready.
